FUN & GAMES IN FILM LAND..

HI EVERYONE.


JUST A QUICK UPDATE REF "DEATH AFTER DARK " FILM PLANS..


had a few set backs over the last few months i.e. #hospital etc..
but we are back on track..
whats happening now is filming is put back till 2012. why well it,s down to two things.
#MONEY & LOCATION.
been in talks with a major T.V. company for about a year & yesterday i was at a meeting & they basically said NO. but that,s o.k. it,s very complicated when a t.v. company is involved.
if i was a producer for a JAMES 007 BOND flick they would give me the keys to the kingdom LOL
but i,m not & don,t want to be.


the bottom line is they wanted my script but not me etc & i wanted  access to film at a T.V. centre to make my film.
the whole last hour of the plot is set in a T.V.centre & i want real t.v presenters in it as themselves etc.
so i need a T.V centre to use etc .i,m in talks with other company's & have interest which is good.


so i need to make a big decision ref the flick.


(a) put it on the back burner & make another flick ,iv,e got loads of scripts but there no good if there just sitting in a draw LOL. need to get something on film etc & then if its any good i could then try #CROWD FUNDING etc to raise some ££££ .


(b) go to #AMERICA & make it there,, a friend can get me a T.V. station & actors & camera equipment etc etc. for .#FREE. i would just have to get my ass over there next year etc .so it,s something for me to think about.
my mate did a similar thing . so theres no reason why i can,t do it :-)


(c) still try & make it here,, that's what i want ,, the main star of the film is the north east of England & people from here.

so i,m going to get the website up & see if people want to help & get on board.
i need people who want to make a movie & are not just interested in how much ££££ i,m going to pay etc..

i.e when George Romero made "NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD" back in 1968 he got together with 9 other friends etc & everyone put in $600 bucks & that cash got the film production started, they had no idea there flick would change the horror film forever, they just wanted to have a go & make a movie. yep they got ripped off by the film distributor & made no money ,but it got George on the ladder to get investment in future projects etc .


it,s funny i get about 5 e-mails a day,from people saying there a actor or a film tec & it,s all money,money,money, they make more in a month than my total budget LOL.
some nice person online ask ME advice about film making & i couldn't,t give them any, i just said keep trying & trying , there,s always a way, you just have to do it your way & keep thinking positive.


anyway will get the film website up & running soon & cheers for reading this boring blog LOL
